The pack was originally started by Vattic, today xMrVizzy continue his work, over the years many have helped or been a part of this project. And they all deserve things but there are so many of them I will not be putting them here, over there is a list of everyone who helped out in the link I will be providing.
The Faithful texture pack is a real Saving Grace for people like me, who can't play default Minecraft without getting a migraine after an hour or so, because of the 16x16 pixels they use for the blocks. Because Faithful Is of a higher quality I don't have to worry about getting that headache well playing and knowing my build will still look good in default,
The resource pack is up to date! They actually just released textures for the new trap doors not too long ago, and it also makes use of OptiFine connected textures.

It's fine for people to use stuff from the Faithful so long as guidelines bellow are followed.
